Glossary of Terms: 504 - Method of providing accommodations for students with impairments to allow full access to FAPE. Brain Tutor Accredited - Brain Tutors Instructors or tutors receive training and instruction that leads to accreditation. Cross Crawls - Specialized movements to connect left to right and upper to lower body, to increase brain effectiveness. FAPE - Free access to public education. Multi-sensory Learning - Method of instruction that involves auditory, visual, tactile and kinesthetic learning styles. NCLB - No Child Left Behind. Impacts choices in curriculum, testing and assessment methods. Neurofeedback Training - Highly organized form of training that monitors brain activity to direct student's focus. Paired Activities (Learning & Play) - Students are engaged in playful activities while learning to increase performance. Title I - Federal government funding available to bring enhanced services to students. |
